Healing Rainbow Meditation

Hello Healing Communi-Qi,

We brought in a focus on the basics of Qigong. Always good to have beginner’s mind:

1) Energy Breathing (which calms you and helps with sleep at night)

2) S.M.I.L.E - sends healing endorphins to your body and calms your nervous system

3) Lower Dantian - our essence, life force

We also brought in a rainbow meditation for healing our whole body. This is a deeper level meditation and we focused on a healing rainbow coming in through our crown through our feet. The seven chakras match the seven colors of the rainbow and Qigong practice can allow these blocked channels to open.

Spring Forest Qigong Tip for pain and connecting to liver/gallbladder:

There are two points for this focus and we focused on one. If you have pain or even feel irritated in your day you can massage that point between thumb and index finger called Hegu. You can massage here and imagine healing energy going into this point and helping with pain or irritation.

We will focus on the foot point next week and it helps with any anger, insomnia and urine leakage issues.

Remember, we can connect to qigong healing daily without a whole practice. The spring focus is on releasing Anger, impatience, irritation so you could massage your hegu point and say to yourself: ‘my channels are open, my blockages are gone, I feel happy and peaceful. Happy peaceful energy is my focus and what I focus upon expands.’

See what happens when you practice in your day with self massage and a healing emotion. Remember your smile

And deeper breaths.

New Beginnings

Hello Healing Communi-Qi: Spring and Fresh Beginnings

A LITTLE SELF REFLECTION FOR THIS SEASON

Practicing qigong is so simple and so powerful. You cannot do it wrong.

You can only do it good, better, or best – Master Chunyi Lin

In Spring Forest Qigong, we work with our energy, and we can learn to feel calmer and deal with stress better. We also help our own healing emotionally and physically.

One of the key lessons of S.F.Q. is to trust, relax and let go and feel deeper into emptiness and energy. Have you felt a deeper connection to energy/intuition since practising?

What is important for you to focus upon in spring? What keeps your vibration strong and uplifted?

No matter what pain or difficult circumstances is happening, can you still take time to consider when you feel happiest and bring that into your day with pausing and feeling into it or using your imagination to go there? Or can you take time to do Energy Breathing to calm your nervous system and help with sleep and stress?

We also shared a heart math lock-in technique you can do in your day to re-set.

Note: in spring forest qigong we learn to work more with our hearts and imagination and move out of over-thinking.

Examples of emotions and five elements and healing connection

* IF I FEEL ANGER – I KNOW I CAN RE-SET BY FOCUSING UPON HAPPINESS – LIVER SYSTEM

* IF I FEEL EXCESSIVE EMOTIONS – I CAN FOCUS UPON JOY – HEART SYSTEM

* IF I FEEL ANXIETY OR WORRY – I CAN FOCUS UPON PEACE – DIGESTIVE SYSTEM

* IF I FEEL SAD OR DEPRESSED – I CAN FOCUS UPON CONTENTMENT – LUNG SYSTEM

* IF I FEEL FEAR – I CAN FOCUS UPON GRATITUDE – KIDNEY SYSTEM

Ways to Connect to Ener-Qi Daily:

Consider writing a few things down each day that you love – or feel grateful for – and FEEL them.

If you would like to commit to bringing in more qi in your day – even for 2 minutes- you can pick a move or emotion and practice feeling that. I can offer tailored suggestions or share 100-day commitment plan too.

Please feel free to let me know if you would like any more resources or information to enhance your mindful qi journey.

Spring Reflection

Hello Healing Communi-Qi,

Hope you give yourself some reflective time around what you would like to bring in your life this spring. The attachment I sent yesterday will be helpful to consider the seasonal change and what you want to bring in.

We honor ourselves and this transition by allowing what needs to arise in the seasonal transition. Chinese Medicine talks about how we can feel irritable or impatient

at this time of year. We move from the water element and kidney energy system to the liver energy system, which includes eyes, tendons, ligaments, tendons.. This is a time to adjust so more stretching, drinking yin-yang water and considering what makes you feel happy is very good. We learn to work more with nature in Qigong and that helps our mind and body be more in alignment.

You can also practice the Yin-Yang Movement (moving hands elliptically) as you bring in happiness and breathe out anger, impatience.

I also share the cupping exercise an inch in from the elbow.

S.F.Q. Tip: Hold your left arm at a 90-degree angle with your forearm in front of your body and parallel to the floor. Hold your right hand like a cup, as if it were holding water.

Gently but crisply (cup) the area on the top of your forearm that is one inch down from your elbow. Do this repeatedly.

How long: 2 minutes on each arm. Three times a day or more.

Helps with: constipation, skin rashes, eye pain, thyroid conditions, liver problems, lymph system stimulation.

As we did a meditation in class, I have also shared the spring equinox meditation for anyone wanting to do some mindfulness while we are in this spring equinox energy:

Also, if you are needing any extra support in this transitional energy, you can book a qi healing or coaching session.

Here are details and resources: https://www.steffiblackcoaching.com/plans-pricing

Thank you to all of you for your ongoing commitment to qi healing in your life, and welcome to new annual members - I am grateful - and it’s lovely to welcome to some new faces too.

Being Green

Hello Healing Communi-Qi,

Have you taken a moment to S.M.I.L.E in your day? (Start my Internal Love Engine)

Does Kermit make you smile? He’s green and he’s a muppet and he can make us smile:) I know two healing qi members who love Kermit.

As we move closer to spring we want to help our body, especially the liver transition to a new season. The Liver Energy System = spring = color green. Can you play with connecting to green (plants, peeks of grass, painting) and feeling into that happiness energy. We spoke to how we can feel a little edgier/irritable in seasonal transition, and so we helped with this in our movement and meditation. We also worked with the Liver to help heal on anger, impatience and irrational and bring in happiness energy.

We want to bring our qigong learning into our daily lives too. Words and thoughts are energy. We can simply close our eyes, drop our shoulders, take a deep breath, and visualize something green or spring-like, smile and say some words of happiness to re-set your day. In Spring Forest Qigong t’s called Building Positive Emotions.

Even if you don’t feel happy or peaceful, that’s okay, you can still draw upon those powerful positive emotions to help you heal faster.

I have shared a small S.F.Q. sample when you need it in your day.

Body & Mind Integration

Hello Healing Communi-Qi,

Lots can come up for us in this seasonal transition. In Chinese Medicine, we learn our minds and bodies need to adjust as we come closer to a new season.

The organ we will focus upon is the Liver and the challenging emotions are anger, irritation, impatience. The liver also helps detox our body and this ability changes as we age.

Let us bring in healing to this organ and our whole energetic system. Coming home to our breath and body.

Suggestions for Healing Benefits:

Light a candle if you can

Bring a glass of water (yin/yang is half hot/half room temperature)

Find a peaceful place and slow down your breath before class

Remember your S.M.I.L.E (start my internal love engine)

Cameras on or off

Good, Better, Best (work at your own pace or modify if not feeling 100%)

Sit, Stand or Lie down and still experience healing benefits
