Come Home to your Inner Compass: Can we allow challenging times to help us grow?

Many of us are struggling at this time. There is so much going on that it’s hard to know how to feel, but let me remind you that Love Always Wins Over Hate. What does that really mean? That means every time you go to that hurting place, you can feel anger, sadness, rage - allow it - and then after it moves through you, you can also teach yourself to make a choice to find a more uplifting vibration; what Dr. Joe calls the combination of uplifting emotion combined with a conscious intention. Yes, you can choose to be a Love Radiator, a Love Warrior, even when times are tough. In fact, we need it more now. We need people to be the light in any darkness happening. How Energy Fields Work Did you know that your energy affects the energetic field of those around you? That by taking personal responsibility for your vibration it makes a difference to the collective field. Well, yes it’s true. Some of my favourite experts in the field include Dr. Joe Dispenza, Marie Manuchehri, and of course the founder of my Qigong school, Master Chunyi Lin. If you are struggling, you can also listen to their updates and learn practices that can help shift your energy. Also, the incredible work of Heart Math is making such a difference on our planet. When we take time to intentionally add heart-focused love, compassion and kindness to the planetary field, this can help raise humanity’s baseline consciousness from instability and discord to compassionate care, cooperation and increase peace. Find your sacred rituals like meditation, yoga, qigong, walks in nature, journaling. It is different for everyone. But, no matter what is happening, you can always Come Home Again and connect inwardly. In Spring Forest Qigong, we always connect to the universe so we can feel the stillness, the peace inside and we call upon unconditional love or a guide or a master so we can feel that extra helping hand. We are not alone. Tomorrow, is a full moon in the sign of Taurus. Taurus is connected to earth and Mother Earth feels the collective energy. Ground and centre yourself. It matters to you and those around you. Here is a meditation for your own self-care. You can also learn to raise your heart coherence. Open it up and flood your home, and this planet with the light it needs. Never underestimate how your own vibration can offset negativity. Much research shows that when we are in a heart coherence state, our rhythms match the rhythms of the earth and being in sync helps reduce separation and increases co-operation and harmony.  Heart Focused Breathing™. Focus your attention in the area of the heart. Imagine your breath is flowing in and out of your heart or chest area, breathing a little slower and deeper than usual. It may help to have your hand on your heart area. This heart-focused breathing step can be done with your eyes open or closed.


  1. Observe where you see heart qualities—such as kindness, compassion, tolerance or appreciation taking place in life.

  2. Observe where heart is lacking in daily living.

  3. Think about where adding more heart qualities could be used to save time and energy and to prevent conflict, stress and discord.

  4. Practice the Heart-Focused Breathingâ„¢ step for 30 seconds to a minute three times in a day.
